Walking with Grief

When I lost my first baby, the pain was overwhelming—so deep and all-encompassing that it felt like it would swallow me whole.

Yet, in the midst of that unimaginable grief, one thing became clear: my love for our sweet boy was greater than the pain of losing him. That love, even in the face of such sorrow, became my anchor, reminding me that love remains even in the darkest of days.

I’ve often thought about the words of Marilla Cuthbert from Anne of Green Gables: “To despair is to turn one’s back on God.” There were moments in my journey when despair felt like my constant companion.

I’ll be honest—there were times when I didn’t want anything to do with God. I couldn’t see past the pain, and the idea of trusting Him again felt impossible.

Looking back, I wish I had a life coach during those difficult years—someone who could have walked alongside me and gently told me, “It’s okay to feel this pain. It’s okay to be in the depths of sorrow.”

Someone who could have reassured me that emotions as big and overwhelming as grief wouldn’t consume me if I just allowed myself to feel them instead of trying to push them away. I didn’t have that then, but God, in His grace, had a different plan.

I was surrounded by loving, supportive people who stood by me in my pain, even when I couldn’t see a way out. And after many years of carrying that grief, God led me to an incredible therapist who sat with me through the years of grief and loss, helping me process emotions that I had buried so deep I didn’t even know they were there.

You don’t have to face your pain alone. Whatever you’re going through, whether it’s grief, loss, or another struggle, I want you to know that there’s HOPE.

As a coach, I’m here to help guide you through those hard emotions, to let you know that it’s okay to feel deeply, and to remind you that you can emerge from the other side stronger, more whole, and more connected to who you truly are.

You are not alone in this journey—I’m here to help you every step of the way. Let’s walk this road together.

I’m cheering for you!

love, Julie
